1.Purpose of these rules

Benchmark Maker is a place to create and share useful comparisons. These rules explain the conduct and content we do not permit.

They are part of our acceptable use policy and apply to content, accounts, and activity on Benchmark Maker.

2.Safety and respectful participation

Do not post or use Benchmark Maker to distribute harmful, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory material. Report content that you believe breaches these rules.

2.1We do not allow:

  • Graphic violence, threats, or encouragement of self-harm
  • Drug use or promotion of regulated goods, including tobacco and firearms

  • Do not target people with hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content because of a protected characteristic or personal trait.

3.Rights and lawful use

Respect other people's intellectual property, privacy, and legal rights. Do not use the service for unlawful activity or publish material that breaks applicable law.

  • Only upload content you have the right to use.
  • Do not disclose personal information or dox another person.
  • Your use of Benchmark Maker is also subject to the Terms of Use.

3.1Copyright and other intellectual property

  • Do not copy or distribute protected content without permission or another valid legal basis.

3.2Privacy and personal information

  • Do not publish personal information about someone else without a lawful reason and appropriate permission.

4.Moderation and enforcement

We may review reports and take action when content or activity appears to breach these rules, our Terms of Use, or applicable law. Depending on the situation, we may remove or limit content, restrict features, suspend an account, or end access to the service.

We assess reports in context and may act without prior notice where needed to protect people, the service, or legal obligations.

5.Report a concern or ask for a review

Report content that may breach these rules. If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, contact us with the relevant details and we will review the request.
